Areas of Emphasis

Xiaoguang focuses on patent, copyright, computer software, unfair competition, trade secrets and related issues. He has extensive experience in both patent prosecution and litigation. He represents clients in patent re-examination, appeal and invalidation proceedings and infringement lawsuits before the court. He also counsels on validity, patentability, infringement and enforcement matters relating to electronic, computer, telecommunication, medical device and mechanical patents. He has wealth of experience in licensing and transactions pertaining to intellectual property rights.

Education and Related Experience
Xiaoguang earned his B.S. degree in electrical and electronic engineering from Tsinghua University in 1983, a diploma in English language in 1984 and a diploma in international business law in 1989. He studied international business law and intellectual property law in Canada in 1988 and 1989. Xiaoguang has practiced intellectual property law in Beijing since 1983.

Professional Activities
Xiaoguang has published articles on China's intellectual property law and practice and is a frequent speaker in international conferences and seminars and an instructor in intellectual property training courses. He is an arbitrator of and a mediator of WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center. Xiaoguang is a member of China Intellectual Property Society (SIPS) and Chinese Group of AIPPI and LES.
