Areas of Emphasis

Gesheng focuses on patent prosecution, litigation and related matters. He has extensive experiences in drafting and prosecuting patent applications, patent re-examinations, appeals, invalidations and litigation. Gesheng represents foreign and domestic clients mainly in the fields of biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, crop science and organic chemistry. His expertise also extends to the protection of new plant varieties, pipeline product protection for pharmaceuticals and agro-chemicals.

Education and Related Experience
Gesheng earned his B.S. degree in microbiology in 1986 from Wuhan University, diplomas in law from University of International Business and Economics and University of Political Science and Law in 1988 and 1994 respectively. He studied US patent law and practice in New York City in 1995 and 1996. He practiced in a patent and trademark firm in Beijing since 1986 before joining Zhongzi Law Office in 2001.

Professional Activities
Gesheng is the author and contributor of a number of articles on intellectual property practice in China and in U.S. He is a member of Chinese Group of AIPPI and LES.
